George Scandalis

At the age of 3, George was an active member of the Cretan Association of Toronto and later joined the world renowned theatrical group Nefeli Theatre Arts within the Greek Community of Toronto. By the age of 18 he became a teacher of Modern and Greek Folkloric dance. His passion of Greek culture and arts led him to Greece in 2004 on a path of discovery where he found success and fame as a professional Greek actor/entertainer. He cultivated his talent for the stage through the recognition he received from the TV reality talent show – Dream Show hosted by Alpha Channel. That same success and fame granted him the opportunity to tour all of Greece with many different theatrical roles. He would soon expand his professional tool kit by doing live television both as a host and as a guest and even as a singer at the bouzoukia. His dreams, passion and hunger for the arts had found a home in Greece.

Years later he would find himself back home in Toronto and the second awakening of sorts would happen with the writing of his first Greek theatrical play “Η ΕΠΙΛΟΓΗ” (2016) later to be followed by “ΤΟ ΟΝΟΜΑ ΜΟΥ ΕΙΝΑΙ ΕΥΑ” (2017). Both were staged and produced by Ten Tone Productions. They were received by multiple SOLD OUT audiences. Now he prepares to journey us through his third Greek original theatrical play “ΟΙ ΕΡΩΣΥΛΙΕΣ”.
